■ Advantageous features
By using our proprietary polymerization method and high-performance catalysts, we have attained an excellent balance of physical properties to suit a range of applications. We have put together a line-up that can cater for a range of features such as lightness (low specific gravity), high workability, ease of recycling, heat resistance, low moisture absorbency, solvent resistance etc. This covers a wide range of applications from engineering components to daily items, foodstuff, and medical sanitation items.
Three polymerization types (homo, random, block)
Homo type: high rigidity, high heat resistance
Random type: high transparency, high gloss
Block type: high toughness, high rigidity
The rigidity and transparency characteristics, and rigidity and impact characteristics of the main grades are shown in the following diagrams.
Uses
Novatek™ PP (polypropylene) is used for a wide range of applications from automotive engineering components to daily items, foodstuff and medical sanitation items.
1) Injection moulding
Automotive parts (bumpers, instrument panels, various trims, lamp housings), household electrical appliances, (parts for washing machines and refrigerators), daily items/miscellaneous goods, food containers, caps, all types of containers, medical equipment
2) Extrusion moulding
Biaxially oriented film (for all types of packaging), sheets (for food packaging trays, transparent sheets) fibres, non-woven cloths, split yarn (packaging cord, pipes)
3) Blow moulding
Small to medium sized bottles, stretch blow moulded items
